About MECA

The Melrose East Community Association is a 504(C) charitable and tax-deductible association of business owners and residents in the Melrose East community and the surrounding areas.

MECA's concerned group of business owners who contribute on a monthly basis to curtail crime, clean the community and work toward establishing a network of monthly contributors to bring about "A New Beginning for Melrose East." MECA believes that the Melrose East community — surrounded by major business, college campuses and government offices — represents possibilities for growth and prosperity that remain largely untapped.

MECA's Core Goals for the Melrose East community include curtailing the crime rate, cleaning and maintaining local facilities and using existing blighted ordinances to clean, clear and improve the existing lots and buildings in the area — all of which will attract new business and residents to our community.

Improving the quality of life for those living in Melrose East is not easy goal but one MECA believes we can achieve together. Together, we can create "A New Beginning for Melrose East."
