MELROSE EAST CRIME PREVENTION DISTRICT

Crime Prevention District

Established in 2012, the Melrose East Crime Prevention District was established as a political subdivision as defined in the Constitution of Louisiana. 


The purpose of the CPD is to aid in crime prevention and to add to the security of district residents by providing for an increase in the presence of law enforcement personnel in the district.

CPD Commissioners

The district is governed by a  board consisting of seven commissioners. 


The commissioners are authorized to select from among themselves a president and such other officers as deemed appropriate.
